Have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country ?

Hello,
I am applying for a student visa and in this section i am concerned about my situation. My ex wife won the green card lottery and she is syrian and she was refused because of the travel ban on syrians and she was the main applicant , i was as a spouse applicant with her. Should i mention that i was refused for a US immigration visa ?

Hi, May I have a question :
  • Since I have overstayed in the USA for 3 months, how do you think it will affect the Canada study permit?
  • There is no question about overstaying in other countries in the study permit, if the visa officer has questions about this, will he/she ask me for additional information? or will I be denied ?
  • Can I re-apply if I am rejected? But do you think is there any hope for me to re-apply if I overstayed in USA?

You should be upfront about the fact that you overstayed. Yes it can certainly be a problem. If you didn’t follow the US immigration rules there will be concerns you will not follow the rules in Canada. All you can do is apply and hope for the best. If you are applying for a masters or a PhD at a reputable school that may also help.
