Hello,

I am currently a PGWP holder. My sister applied for a student permit and found to be inadmissible due to misrepresentation of a financial doc? Now, I am going to apply for CEC.

How am I supposed to be affected as her name will be mentioned in my application as an extended family member?

Your sister's inadmissibility in no way impacts your application. You're fine.

What if they run background check on extended family members and find that she is inadmissible? Will I be under more scrutiny?

I don't believe she is your "immediate family" if you are an adult. How old are you?

Her name will be in your extended family list but it shouldn't have any major effect on your application.

She is extended family member. You are right.

There is no background check run on your extended family.
