That's not true. A portion of August applicants received approvals/CoPR, the same as September, October, Dec...2020 ones, but a majority of August applicants are still waiting.

I didn’t say a majority were approved. My impression from the forum however is that I’ve see quite a few August COPRs in last couple of weeks. Almost none from “current” application period (or even close dates). On immtracker last 15 approvals were majority September (6/15). Range was July 13-January 29,2021. None from May or June. I don’t feel I’m wrong to be pessimistic about approval coming soon despite supposedly working on this application period.
According to this tracking https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/cec-e-apr-tracker-express-entry-permanent-residency-application, at least 3 people AOR June 15 received approvals this week.
Do you happen to know your Officer code? Mine is RC1504, waiting for a final decision from him/her.
On the second or third page on GCMS notes, after the ASSESSMENTS (Eligibilty, Security, Info Sharing....), you'll see APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT where it says Assigned To: (code); Assigned By: (code). I think the Officer code is one of those codes. In my case, I called IRCC and asked the agent what my Officer code was.
