Hello,
I have a question about working full-time for students.
I am a student at Universite Laval and I will submit my thesis soon:

1- Can I work full time after submitting my thesis?
2- Can I work full time before submitting my thesis since I have finished all my courses and have nothing to do except submitting my thesis which I can submit a week after I start working?

Your answer is very appreciated,
Thank you,

No and No.

You will only be able to work full time once you have been awarded your degree and have submitted the PGWP application.

Thank you for your response!
When I submit my thesis, I will not be enrolled in the next semester, so basically I cannot work full time even if I am not enrolled?

Correct. You will not be able to work full time. Again, you'll need to wait until you've submitted your PGWP before you will be able to work full time.

Is summer considered as a scheduled break ?

I know I can work in summer if I am enrolled the session before and after, I was enrolled in the spring session but I don't know about the automn session , most likely they will give me a feedback on my thesis before the automn session starts so I wont have to enroll in the autumn session ,

Summer is only a scheduled break if it is specifically a scheduled / official break in your program. Basically that's the rule for any scheduled break and working full time. The break needs to be officially scheduled as part of the program you are taking to allow full time work.

Hi @scylla ,

what about students working full-time while attending a full-time DLI program that are moved to online temporarily, from their home country ? Does it have any impact on their

1. PGWP
2. PR or immigration score

Note: The organization that working for is a MNC, which includes it presence in Canada also. However, the working location is home country, where company name is registered as XXX India pvt ltd., and the same has been mentioned in offer letter and other employment document's letter head..
