we're in Canada but my spouse's passport will expire in this December 2021. I'm expecting copr around May-June 2021. I don't want to renew passport or change any information because it might cause delay. Any advice @Miss bee ?
Congrats to you DM! I think it is better to get Copr and then apply for Passport renewal . As the copr will come very soon.
one thing to consider : if you spouse & kids came to Canada later than you, you need to update schedule A as they might think they are still outlanders. If you all came at the same time, it will be no issue.
Refer to this case as a friend of mine

Thanks, Sandy. My spouse has stayed with me in Canada since 2017. Also, on Oct 29, 2020, IRCC asked for a Schedule A from my spouse (5669e), in that form, they easily tell that my spouse is in Canada.

Heard somewhere, that if you file along with your family or if you have any dependant, IRCC usually takes more time as they do criminality and background check for each member of the family. Again, m not sure it's what i heard. Good luck to you mate.
Also learned/read that AoR is some cases are delayed as they are issued after criminality, security etc checks. Our case could be a long non-ending wait. On 30 April will be 7 months since AR. case is applicant plus four dependents.
