New pr pathway vs spousal sponsorship

Hello everyone, I'm a recent graduate and currently on a work permit. Also, recently got married to a permanent resident. Should I apply for the new pr pathway or for the spousal sponsorship? Seems like the new pathway will take less time as spousal takes 1-1.5 years plus I still haven't received the marriage certificate yet, which will take about 4-6 more months to get it. Please share your thoughts on what's better.

Also, it says for the new pathway you have to "be employed". Does it matter at all what job? Full-time vs part-time? And what about if you've been recently laid off because of covid does that still mean you're employed or no?

My suggestion is to take the spousal sponsorship application. Never try a new path about which nobody knows anything about in details. Also, leave the cap for those who have no other way if you got other almost certain path to get your pr, why don't you do that ?

Being laid-off means "a break in employment". So technically it won't be considered employment. Will have to wait for IRCC to shed more light on it.

I wish people thought about it, but I've seen people with PNP nominations, those waiting for CEC go for this new pathway.

This hits.

I applied for a PNP long ago because I expected that I'd be married by this May (yeah...that won't be happening, thx Covid) , which would lower my score way too much for EE. I still don't have my AOR and last time I called I was told it would take around 2 years to process my application, which is fine but I've been in Canada for +4 years and I'm tired of being limited due to my TFW status.
