why indians so desperate...stay home...stay safe... u bringing covid in canada

Because we paid huge fees and GIC also huge time difference does not give good learning experience as most of the classes are in midnight for indian student so atleast we hope to study in Canadian timezone after investing huge amount. I am talking about myself . I am a masters student and as my next term which is spring / may 2021. In that term i will have to wake up at 03:00 IST in the morning and professors do not record lectures due to copyright issue i cannot learn anything properly, i will continuously yawn during lecture and bam its over. Have some open mind when students want to come canada i am not saying that they shouldn't have banned but atleast announce something before taking this kind of big decision. We lost our quarantine money, we have to deal with day night difference and so on. Whenever you want to right statement like this put yourself in someone else shoes and see from their point of view too and dont blame directly.

As much as everyone understand frastruation caused by Pandemic, Canada like many other countriea has obligation to control its boarders and health of Canadian Residents. And yes, PM had announced in the past that Feds will impose restriction sometimes without prior public notice. While waking up at 03:00 may seems challenging plus money lost on quaranteen etc but priority number one is health, contain cases and avoid more deaths. That is interest of every resident. Control importation of new mutants from outside.

I have one doubt, how would a Canada citizen will go back to Canada? If you say they will ennter from some other country, then it is not simple for them even. Country is for their citizens. My mother was travelling to states in February and they have restricted the flights from Brazil and UK but not for their citizens. I think some update will come from canada government regarding some relaxations so that their citizens can enter easily. Not sure about students and professionals.

Canadian citizens can enter Canada and follow public order guidelines... Canadian are not denied entry if coming directly from any country but they are required to produce proof of mandatory molecular test taken 72hours before departure.

There is no direct passenger flight after suspension but cargo are exempted. I answered your question on context of Canadian Charter of Right and Freedom. So if it happens Canadian is returning lets say on private jet directly from Indian, then yes he will be admitted to Canada

No private jets from India are allowed either. Although I know what you’re trying to say the example isn’t a good one so I want to clarify that private jets are also not an option.

This ban is for anyone in India or Pakistan. It doesn‘t matter what your status is in Canada.

It would not make sense to warn people because then a sudden rush of people will try to enter Canada and the airlines would try to fly as many people out of India and Pakistan. That would just lead to more cases entering Canada. If you had been watching the news and seeing other countries limit travel from India the travel restrictions were pretty predictable. Pakistan wasn’t predictable.

No private jets from India are allowed either. Although I know what you’re trying to say the example isn’t a good one so I want to clarify that private jets are also not an option.

I know that even private planes are not allowed and that is my point that they might give exemptions after thirty days which suits Canada citizens. Also if they are allowing entry to Indians from airports outside India then they could have setup a lab at airports or atleast nearby airports and do a pcr test there and give results in 4 to 6 hours. Last year this was process at Delhi airport where pcr tests were conducted and results were given in 6 hours after which only a passenger was allowed to go.
I am very optimistic that they will come up with better screening process and things will get normal.
