So you’ve already received an invitation to apply and submitted your application? Then why would you apply for this? Just wait and you’ll get your PR within 6 months.
I'm at the 6 month mark lol. They haven't touched my app besides medicals.

I don't see why it would be faster than CEC so yeah I think it will be the same. Also, IRCC just sent out an email explaining the announcement. It says we should prepare if we qualify by booking a language test. We will receive more information about the program and how to apply once the pathway opens.
Oh so maybe they just want a booking confirmation number for a test to be able to apply? Hopefully

Let's hope so! Mine is booked on June 26th, but I was trying to get an earlier date, no chance so far all is booked for 4 months ahead.

I think they just mean get it ready, I doubt a booking confirmation would count as a complete application, but again, this probably won't close until some time. The wording doesn't sound like it's something that will be full from a day's worth of applications. CEC draw happened yesterday taking 6000, so that's a little reduced burden on these streams.

I was also thinking, for those who still haven't graduated or have an English language test, learning some French and passing a French language test might be something worth looking into since there is no intake cap for French speakers until November.

Yes I was just looking in CEC they are lowering the points there and they will take a lot of people who are eligible because of the low points, in the next 5, 6 months. I believe points will go as low as 400, they will be from 400-430 or even lower than 400 on some months and that means a lot of people will get ITA and PR's through CEC.

From the forums I see a lot of research suggests that we could actually apply and get an invite from this steam. But the level of desperate people despite not being qualified needs to be considered. This additional number may attempt to apply (not sure if it will go through) which could incur a huge difference while applying in regards to high traffic. Hoping every International student who struggled and deserves to apply, hopefully, gets through this stream.

I just watched the above video, its really discouraging to hear that the program for international student will probably close up in a month of May, so a lot of us wouldnt get a chance :( I just dont understand than why would they give this program 6 month span.

I’m optimistic that after it closes, it will resume if it’s successful. This is a good way for IRCC to get early CEC applicants.

It’s a fact many ineligible people will try to apply, so I’m hoping it will be like Express Entry’s assessment tool, which disqualifies you automatically if you don’t have IELTS or an ECA right away or doesn’t let you submit your application unless all documents are ready to submit.

I have a feeling too that it'll probably resume soon after, I have everything except of ielts, I've managed to booked mine on 26th of June, so I'll get results back on 10th of July. We shall see how the stream will be designed.

You can't apply if you don't have the documents needed. Desperate or not there is a document checklist that needs to be filled, whether it's proof of employment, degree, or language test results. It's like with express entry, you can't create a profile and get in the pool unless eligible. If they slip through and are ineligible, that would be lying and can have catastrophic impacts on their future in Canada.

I hope every honest person gets through. Within the month is a good amount of time for many to prepare.

I really hope the system makes you type in your IELTS report # before creating a profile, otherwise I see thousands applying and attaching LOE’s hoping to get through the cracks.
Thats exactly what I have seen too.

So if I have work experience in an eligigible category (delivery driver) for a few months, and the rest of my work experience is in a NOC B that's not on the list, I can't combine those?

True, and you might never know if IRCC is like, let's give those people a break cause it's COVID.

I don't know why IRCC is putting everyone under stress, as -

1. Almost everyone (90% Plus) is qualified for these programs if given proper time to have IELTS, PCC, Medical ready.
2. IRCC wants to meet annual quota, Temporary people want PR. It's a win-win situation.
3. Language requirement is so low that it's a wastage of time and $300+ spent on an IELTS test.

I mean why go through all this paper work, unnecessary stress, wait time when you can simply say all international graduates are PR now from today onwards. Imagine the amount of clarifications required for 6 new streams, staff working on stupid unproductive work, paper wastage.

Also anyone (100%) of people who stepped out of their homes during pandemic should be classified as essential workers, nobody in their right mind would not work from home if given a choice, but students generally don't get such jobs on PGWP.

It has to be that specific NOC as mentioned on the list.
