I'm at the 6 month mark lol. They haven't touched my app besides medicals. So you’ve already received an invitation to apply and submitted your application? Then why would you apply for this? Just wait and you’ll get your PR within 6 months.

Oh so maybe they just want a booking confirmation number for a test to be able to apply? HopefullyI don't see why it would be faster than CEC so yeah I think it will be the same. Also, IRCC just sent out an email explaining the announcement. It says we should prepare if we qualify by booking a language test. We will receive more information about the program and how to apply once the pathway opens.

I think they just mean get it ready, I doubt a booking confirmation would count as a complete application, but again, this probably won't close until some time. The wording doesn't sound like it's something that will be full from a day's worth of applications. CEC draw happened yesterday taking 6000, so that's a little reduced burden on these streams.
I was also thinking, for those who still haven't graduated or have an English language test, learning some French and passing a French language test might be something worth looking into since there is no intake cap for French speakers until November.
From the forums I see a lot of research suggests that we could actually apply and get an invite from this steam. But the level of desperate people despite not being qualified needs to be considered. This additional number may attempt to apply (not sure if it will go through) which could incur a huge difference while applying in regards to high traffic. Hoping every International student who struggled and deserves to apply, hopefully, gets through this stream.
I’m optimistic that after it closes, it will resume if it’s successful. This is a good way for IRCC to get early CEC applicants.
It’s a fact many ineligible people will try to apply, so I’m hoping it will be like Express Entry’s assessment tool, which disqualifies you automatically if you don’t have IELTS or an ECA right away or doesn’t let you submit your application unless all documents are ready to submit.

Thats exactly what I have seen too.I really hope the system makes you type in your IELTS report # before creating a profile, otherwise I see thousands applying and attaching LOE’s hoping to get through the cracks.

Hello everyone,
I only have a letter of completion, my bachelor degree will not be issued till' the convocation. Do I really need to have a degree or a letter is sufficient? Thanks for any inputs.
So if I have work experience in an eligigible category (delivery driver) for a few months, and the rest of my work experience is in a NOC B that's not on the list, I can't combine those?
