Hi all,
My partner and I have lived together since Oct, 2018 but I didn't know that I had to update my marital status on CRA.
So we got a 2019 tax refund as a SINGLE and only myself applied for a 2020 tax refund this year as a COMMON-LAW, not my partner yet. Then, because I didn't change the status, I got a email from CRA, saying that they need to confirm our marital status changed and to check my partner 2019 net income and world income (no idea what the world income and how to prove it).
Anybody know how to prove them and to send it to them? Also anybody knows it would affect family sponsorship? I've applied for common law sponsorship in Canada class in March, 2021.
Please help me!
Thank you so much.
