Hello All,

I have some queries regarding this Noc code 6235 please, firstly these are the requirements:

Employment requirements:

1. Completion of secondary school and extensive general banking experience is usually required.
2. A bachelor's degree or college diploma related to commerce or economics may be required.
3. A mutual funds license is usually required.
4. Registration with the securities regulatory authority in the province or territory of employment is usually required.
5. Completion of a loan or credit training program, ranging from six to twelve months, is usually required.
6. Various training programs and courses are offered by the Institute of Canadian Bankers and may be required by employers.
7. Financial services officers who sell regulated financial products and investments are required to be licensed by the appropriate governing body.

My questions are related to points 2, 4 and 7:

1. If I have a Diploma in Administration and an MBA can I apply to this Noc code?
2. Do I have to personally register with securities regulations authority or does the bank do this on my behalf, and how to prove this.
3. Does the bank also register me for the license by the appropriate governing body or do I have to do this myself?

Please any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

It says may be required. It depends on whats your position in a bank and what duties you perform. Do you sell mutual funds?
And for securities registration, bank does it on your behalf but for mutual fund license, you first have to clear your certification exam for mutual funds and then rest bank will handle. Every bank has different procedures but usually once you have given exam they handle the rest.
