oh, that's not true cause it doesn't say to be passed on your account until your file is approved. You can call IRCC to get to know your current status.I haven't done GCMS but on the online portal background check is in process
Do you know if people who got COPR were all CEC Inland or were there some FSW PNP inland too ?Same. I think things are progressing albeit, slowly. I was in the Limbo. Just yesterday recieved the PR confirmation portal email. And also reading in multiple groups, February April people are getting Coprs. Just hang in there and focus on your life/work instead. It helps me overcoming constant headaches and anxiety.
Here is my detailed post on Medicals and how they are processed #4,335Hi @legalfalcon , is it a different person who handles expiry & extension of medical than the person who gives final decision ?
Hi @legalfalcon just one query - My profile shows medical passed on 13 March 2020 and per last GCMS (received in February 2021) medicals expired on 3 February 2021 (for both me and my spouse). However upon enquiry if the medical has been extended or still expired through web form....The following is the response received:
"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.
The medical examination results on file are valid for you and your spouse.
Due to COVID-19, IRCC is experiencing processing delays and we can't give accurate processing times for most types of applications. We're currently prioritizing applications from people who are exempt from travel restrictions. We understand that this may be a difficult time for you and we are here to assist you by providing you with the information we have available at this time."
So just wanted to confirm if this means that medical may have been extended despite the profile not showing the same?
Thanks for the prompt reply and clarification @legalfalcon.As per the response you received, "the medical examination results on file are valid for you and your spouse."
if your medicals were expired, then they have been extended.
Thanks so much for your thoughts. Please guys other suggestions and advice are also welcome.I think it'll be better you don't inform them... Since the marriage is being annulled.. My thoughts though
Hi guys,
Please I need some serious help!!! I am an FSW inland Canada PR applicant (applied February 2020). I recently got married (less than a month ago) and as a result of irreconcilable differences, we are currently heading for annulment (due to the marriage being only a short period of time) or divorce (depending on which suits my situation) and I am worried about how this would affect my PR application. As at now, I haven't even informed IRCC about my change in marital status because the marriage will end shortly and I am not sure how to handle. I do not intend to add him to my PR application and I am scared that IRCC may ask for divorce/annulment documents which takes at least a year to finalize. I have worked so hard for my PR and I wouldn't want to do anything to jeopardize my application. As at now, we haven't started processing the divorce/annulment papers as there are still some things that need to be cleared up.
Please advice on how this would affect my PR application and the best next steps.
PS: I applied single and I had never been married as at the time I filed for my PR. @legalfalcon
Thanks
Not until the borders are open. If when they open fully I still have no news of my application I will start going to the border and bother them every single day until they do something, lol!No hope for FSW Outland applicants
