There is a cap of 40,000 applicants only... This, like the OINP for International Students Job Offer stream, would be gone the moment it opens.

If you are out of luck, for students stream, as long as you were working in essential services, you can get PR through that stream.

The foreign national must:

  1. Have accumulated at least one (1) year of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time experience (1,560 hours), in Canada, in an eligible occupation listed in Annex A or Annex B in the three (3) years preceding the date when the application for permanent residence is received. The one year of work experience must be obtained in one or more of the eligible occupations as follows:
    • Stream A: the one year of work experience must have been acquired in one or more occupations listed in Annex A. Experience cannot be combined with Annex B occupations.
    • Stream B: the one year of work experience must have been acquired in one or more occupations listed in Annex B, or a combination of occupations in Annexes A and B.
Annex B is for essential non-healthcare workers.

Hi,
Do you know the requirements for the student stream?

I'm still lost about this one.

Does anyone think the three years includes work done on study permit? That could be a real game changer.

Also, while I qualify for the international student stream, I reckon the lack of a formal certificate (until the official graduation date in early June) might be a bummer.

Already had a FSW application rejected because I needed to submit degree certificates instead of a completion letter.

Hope they are a bit more flexible this time around. Be great for everybody.
