Hi, I am an intended international student for May 2021 intake. My classes are starting remotely on May 10.I havent received my student visa until now.I completed my biometric on MARCH 30.2021 and waiting for ppr.Now my confusion is regarding my health. My pregnancy is confirmed last week and I dnt know what to do further. Can i apply for spouse visa after getting my visa? I dnt have any relatives or close friends in Canada.I am concerned about my travel and other things.
Do canadian government provide any supports to international students who are pregnant ?
Is that a good decision to travel this time?
what are the other possible remedies?
Those who are willing to help me,plz do. Thankyou in advance.

So do you have started classes without a study permit? You still may be refused.

As for pregnancy, you can apply for a spousal open work permit for your spouse but processing will take months and you will need to show additional proof of funds. A permit is not guaranteed for your spouse.

Canadian government doesn’t provide support to pregnant international students (why would they) so you will need to figure out the costs of delivery in Canada. Start planning ahead as you will need to find a doctor and possibly pay up front for medical fees.

Also if you give birth in Canada, your spouse will look after the baby and not work. Plan for daycare depending on where you live of $1000-2000 per month.

Hi, thankyou for your reply.I have applied for my study permit on March.Things are delaying here due to this pandemic.I am from India and my friends who were applied on January didn't get their visa.
I am confused and desperate. Can I defer my admission my showing my medical conditions? Only a few days are remaining for my classes online.

You need to talk with your school about deferring your studies and get a new LOA. Assume you will not get a refund if your online class is almost over. Are you SDS stream? Even so, processing is taking many months and you only applied in March.
