My FSW-O is RFV. However, I am applying for a study permit because I don’t want to miss out on the acceptance from Canada’s Western University (masters program)
My question, if I apply in the non SDS category, with:

1) IELTS score 8 overall

2) GIC account with 10k CAD (although not mandatory for non sds)

3) Sufficient proof of funds

4) Proof of token fee deposited in the university (not the entire year’s fee because my university computes the first semester fee requirement in August)

5) Reasonably prove that I will leave Canada after my education,

Do I have lesser chances of approval compared to SDS? Request you to pls throw some light on the merits of sds vs non sds applications.

SDS and non SDS are just the processing procedure, one is faster than the other if you meet certain attributes, it does not reduce or increase your chances. You have to meet the TRV eligibility criteria that you will leave the country after your specified work / study and that you reason to visit is reasonable taking into account your circumstances and you career progression.

is there anyone else whose applications are still not finalized with AOR in Jan, 2020? My medicals expired in dec, 2020, got re-medicals request in jan, 2021 and my profile got updated that my medicals passed on feb26, 2021 . Its been nearly a month and dont have an update after that.

Hi, I submitted my application to IRCC (under AINP) in Nov-2019 and received AOR in Jan-2020. Waiting for their update on COPR. any idea on the timelines?

Name: CN COVID PACE
Type : Organisation
Sub type : other
Other sub type descrip : Pending Findec
Reason: Organisation member
Effective date: 28 May 2020

I just want to know why they have put me in this group and what does it mean ? Is this the reason that they are not issuing final decision/copr although all stages are passed since October 2020. Can I confirm from IRCC agent whether my file is still in this group. ?

There are many applications that were placed in this group, and were put on hold. If you are not exempt from travel restrictions, you will have to wait for a final decision to be made on your file.

But I am CEC inland applicant, currently present in canada with all my dependents.

Is it just me receiving strange webform responses that are saying further info is required to access your file? They then go on to ask you to include all the same information you already included in your original web form such as name, date of birth, country of birth, e-mail address etc

If you are an inland applicant, then too this group was used in early - mid 2020, to put applications on hold.

Just send a webform confirming your address in Canada for all dependents.

I need to know if it is ok to submit feedback regarding delay in processing of particular case. Will it give any negative impact on my ongoing PR application. Suggestion of giving feedback was given to me by IRCC agent today. Agent sent me link to submit the feedback and told me that it can be helpful but is not guaranteed.

That is a suggestion by an IRCC agent? He told you that it *may* speeden up your application if you do that survey? I am assuming that by *feedback* you are talking about the ‚advanis‘ survey some people have received by mail.

No I am not talking about survey which we received in our email, there is separate feedback section on IRCC website where we can compliment, comment or complaint about the service of IRCC regarding any application.

Everything was passed since July 24,2020.
finally got my file approved today. Thank you everyone in the group. Be patient everyone, time will come for each of us. It took 14 months and 20 days waiting

Congrats. I'm also CEC inland and have everything passed final decision made on June 18, 2020.
