People were discouraging the school. Until you graduate and find employment that is primarily based on your UCW degree you can't comment on how useful the UCW degrees are. There have been plenty of past students who felt that the UCW degree help find employment in Canada. Employment was purely based on their previous international work experience. Some people apply to UCW knowing this and are fine with that but don't believe everyone is and can't imagine wasting 100K. Would think a degree that Canadian employers will actually recognize would be a better way to spend your money. Would guess that most Canadians employers have never even heard of UCW.
Hey! Totally get your point. I was more pointing towards people stating IRCC deliberately rejects applicants who have taken admission in UCW. This puts that statement to rest.
Not sure where you got the 100K number from though? Are you including the living costs, etc in CAD ? It is not that expensive, infact way cheaper than most MBA's in public universities which can run into 50K+ CAD.
I get it, lot of people don't do their homework about UCW and they learn it the hard way. But it also serves purpose for lot of mature candidates who already have experience and don't need to rely on a piece of paper to get a job. They do it purely for PR purpose and to get some theoretical insight which honestly is not that bad in UCW. It is important to keep that equilibrium on this forum but bashing it completely is kind of wrong IMO.
