yes got the Passport request email on April 6th

yes you will get passport request email from IRCC with subject as " ACTION REQUIRED (IRCC) – Passport Request / your name/ reference number
Once you get this email , need to fill VAC webform and pay the fee for 2 way courier service

I wrote that reference number in the VAC webform as application number. Is that cause any problem in my application

I would like to know the details about passport submission and return service provided by VFS India.

Do they cover tier-2 cities in India. I heard that they use BlueDart courier service and I have a BlueDart office in my native city. Any pointers to find if my city is covered for this service?

Hi Amita, yes you can apply via email. Since VACs in India are not accepting PRTD applications, you can apply via email. After you apply via email, you will receive a passport submission request (in my case I got that in 14 days)
No, biometrics aren’t required. And there is no specific timeline for PRTD applications, it depends case to case. But in most cases it usually takes about a month!
