Online Citizenship Test Invitation

Hi everyone,

I have a random question about the online citizenship test.

I understand that starting from December 2020, people can apply for citizenship and sit for the citizenship test online.

Not sure whether it is coincident, I saw some December 2020 applicants are getting online test invitations soon after their AOR and In Process.

Just wondering, if there is any way that applicants who applied by paper application (before December 2020) can express interest in sitting for the online citizenship test? It is just a bit unfair if IRCC assumes only the online applicants are keen/capable of sitting for the online citizenship test.

Hope to hear from you guys soon, cheers! :)

One thing you need know here. There is currently no in person tests happening anywhere, all citizenship tests are being conducted online, regardless of application types. This is only a temporary measure due to COVID. Things will return to normal (hopefully) in the future.

Thanks for the highlight. Due to COVID-19, NO in-person tests were happening. Regardless of application types, applicants are invited to the online citizenship test.

No expression of interest required for the test. All applicants, iro of application channel, will be invited to write the test when due on their app. Perhaps you may want to call IRCC or use the webform to inquire when yours would be ready for the test.
