Can I work in another country while my citizenship application is in process?

Hey guys,

Can you take up a contract job in another county while your citizenship in in process? I might have an opportunity to do so but, I am just wondering if that would negatively affect my application. Ideally, I would have completed my citizenship first, but times are really bad as far as employment is concerned, and I don't want to say no to this contract. What should I do?

Yes you can. Many moved outside of Canada but you need to be available to come back for test and oath within short notice.
My colleague moved to US before even he got is receipt number. He completed his process.

The IRCC site indicates that "You can leave Canada after we receive your application", does that mean when we receive AOR?

After the package is delivered at Sydney,NS. My colleague received AOR after moving out.

No, i dont think he did. He even got the paper receipt from the old address in Windsor.
But he said he mentioned in the test-interview day to the officer that he was currently in US at that time.
