Validity of Job Offer: LMIA/Open Work Permit

I have a open work permit PGWP and am currently outside the country. As per the travel requirements, a valid job offer and proof of living in Canada is required for re-entry. I have a rental agreement and bank statements that show that I was paying rent while away and other phone bill statements as well. I recently received a job offer from a trucking company (it is a verified establishment) but there is no mention or discussion of an LMIA on the letter. Is that something I should be asking them?
Since my permit is open, is an LMIA required? I have no plans of immigration down the road, I only plan on working for the three years, making some money and leaving.

Any help will be appreciated.

You can travel on a open work permit as long as you have a TRV. A LMIA is not required. Have your job offer and all the information (rental agreement, utilities) you provided above. Have your 3 day hotel quarantine booked and an 11 day quarantine plan.

Thank you for the info! My friend is in a similar situation (PGWP, outside Canada), she has a job offer from an acquaintance who were looking for a family support worker. She has a social service worker certificate as well. Surprisingly, she was denied entry at the airport because the airline officials were not convinced of the offer. Is there anyone she can take this up with? The Canadian consulate in Mumbai would not help.

When you say family support worker, do you mean caregiver in the home. If so the family needs to have a business registration number to show that it is a valid offer (tax deductions etc.). Did the family have this? A letter from a family saying she has a job as a caregiver in their home is not a valid job offer.
