SOWP 2021 Applications

TA is Travel Authorization.
It is needed presently for travelling to Canada on work permit.

I was reading about it. Some say that if you raise it, it will trigger to process the SOWP faster. Can we submit the authorization even before receiving a Visa? I am the primary applicant currently studying from outside of Canada. I am waiting for my spouse's OWP to enter Canada together. Should I apply for TA? Someone please help us.
I know people who sent email for travel Authorization and their PPR was approved.
I know people who sent the TA request email and it was authorised. The validity of the TA is 3 months. The TA is already expired, but still waiting for visa approval.
My case: sent request for TA: No reply past one month. The visa is also not processed. No trigger yet . It's a long wait during this covid time.

From which country did you apply? How did you send the TA? email or any online portal?
No solution yet.
Applied for SOWP in Feb 2021, upfront medical.
only biometrics got updated, after that no updates.
Applied TA by mail as well as Webform, still no updates.
Really confused whether they are working in India or not.
They are working, but not on open work permit. They are working, but in limited capacity. Wait for the travel ban to lift up. Hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel. July/ August/ September 2021
