Queries on Open Work Permit and Study Permit

I am on a closed WP in Canada currently ( AOPR submitted and in process )and I intend to process Open Work Permit for my Spouse and Study Permit for my Son (soon to be 5 yrs) - both outside of Canada .Can you please clarify below query?

1. Medical taken(within past 12 months) for PR can be used as upfront medical for Open Work permit and Study permit?
2. Study Permit - what to give in the letter of acceptance? In the documents section , its asking mandatory document.
3. Open work permit can be considered as a reason for family re union?

1. yes as long as it continues to be valid during the processing
2. TRV is fine for your child although some random VOs sometime ask for study permits
3. Not guaranteed unless she has a job or job offer. Your wife and child will need to apply for special authorization to travel
