Hi,

I need some help to assess my situation. I applied for a visitor visa to visit my sister in Canada, I got a rejection letter due to the following reasons:

- You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident... I considered several factors:

1. Family ties in Canada and in Country of residence
2 Personal assets and financial status
3.Employment ties in the country of residence

My sister is suffering from a Major depressive issue, she got her family Dr approval that indicates she needs her family's support, also my sister wrote a letter that she fund entire my trip.
Also, my sister and I lost both parents, and I got engaged after submitting my application, and basically, I did not provide IRCC any supporting document for my engagement
I am wondering if an appeal is a good idea in this case? how long it takes? and how much does it cost?

Thanks

There is no appeal but you can reapply. You will have to show that you can fund your own travels. Engagement somewhat helps with your ties to your home country but not significantly. Are you currently working? What length of visit have you requested? Do you own property in your home country? How much personal savings do you have? Have you travelled internationally in the past? When and where? What is your sister’s status in Canada? Just she have a family in Canada or a partner? Is she employed?

First you need to understand what the letter states!

1. Engagement will not significantly improve your family ties in my view. However, it worth a shot!

2. Did you attached your Income Tax Returns/ Assets and Liabilities statement alongwith computation(detailed statement) while applying for visa? If not then attach a detailed one along with a CA certificate(Commonly known as Net Wealth Report) this time.

3.Are you employed? What you do? As per the letter, the VO is not satisfied with your employement or the documents you attached with your application to justify your employment ties with your home country. What you can do is attaching leave letter if you are employed and income statement along with employment letter will improve your chances this time.

i hope it helps!

You can appeal - but only to the Federal Court. This means you would need to hire a lawyer in Canada which will cost several thousand dollars. This will not guarantee approval. It's possible the court might uphold the refusal.

It may be better to reapply and put together a stronger application.
- What ties to your home country can you show? Employment? Property? Assets?
- Your sister may be funding your trip, however you should still be able to show savings.
- Do you have previous travel to countries requiring visas such as the US or UK?
- Include proof that you are now engaged.

I have a job, and my letter of employment was submitted, I had 40k CAD in my saving account, my sister is a Canadian citizen, currently, she is not nit working, but she attached her saving statement for 70k Cad, she is married. I just bought a property in my country, that is why the paper for it was not submitted, that’s is why I think maybe request and appeal and provide rhesus document might works.
And, I do not have a travel history.
the only reason I want to travel to Canada is my sister mental situation

Can I reapply kind if immediately?

You also need written authorization to travel as well as a visitor visa.

Thanks,
I did attach a letter of employment that indicates I am working for them for 1.5 years and my position and my annual salary, and for my asset just attached my saving account w, which was 15K in CAD and my chequing had a balance of 100k in CAD, is it sufficient?
I have heard that it is better to wait for 6 months or more for re-applying, or it is not really necessary if I have explanations for the VO concerns?
Also, regarding my engagement, do they accept a letter of supporting engagement and relationship from my fiance and my in-laws, my friends, and even my grandmother? is it an acceptable document?
Thanks

Unfortunately there's no clear answer. It can be better to wait six months and then reapply if this allows you to strengthen your profile. However we have also seen people here apply immediately after a refusal and had their second application approved.

If you are reapplying immediately then also start the process to get written authorization to travel as a visitor visa is not enough to enter Canada.

The funny and kind of weird thing about this application is that the authorization letter was issued without my request, and before the refusal letter, and it is still valid for next 4 months

So you have written authorization to travel? Don’t know your home country, but processing will take a few months. Have you done biometrics?

Also, I have a question regarding engagement, do they accept a letter of support of the relationship from my fiance and my in-laws and an aproof? or having a bank account together.
