It's a form the prinicipal applicant has to sign if they want to allow somebody else to be able to check the status of their application.

hi thankyou for the reply, may i ask what do you mean somebody else? if i just want me(principal applications) and my wife(sponsor) the only one who can check the status of the applications then i dont need to sign this applications right thank you

It is far more convenient if the PA authorizes the sponsor using this form. Otherwise ircc will not provide some info to sponsor.
