I can totally attest to everything in this post. The US is incredibly welcoming (while most other English speaking countries « act » more welcoming but are more subtly discriminatory). It’s just that life on an H1-B is not easy.I imagine if you're a non-white immigrant with a high paying job, the US is the easiest country in the world to feel like you can blend in and just "live"? Could be wrong as I am a white US citizen by birth. But those things would be attractive to me too, when I put myself in other people's shoes... I guess it's what you value most.
