My AOR : 21st July, 2020
Medical 27th Oct, 2020
Bio Metrics : 14th Dec, 2020
I was requested for RCMP, which I submitted in Dec.
No update since 27th Oct. Don't think I noticed any ghost update either. Seems like an endless wait.
How do you figure out your VO?

Hey guys! I got my approval on March 26th!

Timeline: AOR July 21st--CEC Inland, B.C.---VO: Sydney, NS

  • March 26, 2021 Your eligibility has been reviewed. Please see the final decision below
  • Review of Medical Results: Passed October 2, 2020
  • Biometrics: November 24, 2020-Completed
  • Background check: March 18th, 2021: your background check was completed
  • Final decision: March 26th, 202-Your application was approved
I just happened to check on the 26th and saw the approval, then didn't get the email update until the day after.

I haven't gotten anything else yet-- there is a "Document Status" underneath everyhting with a document number with what I am assuming is the COPR, but can someone tell me if this is correct or what the next step is?

It's slowly but surely all coming together. Good luck everyone!
Congrats. Did Sydney ask you any documents during the application processing? they asked me already our resume

I don’t know why my application still not approved if eligibility and criminality passed about a month ago, bio refunded 20 days ago. Cec inland.

I’m just unlucky or they prioritise specific NOC codes and mine is not in list. I don’t need it faster - but I want to know when it will be done. Week? Month? Year?

Nooo they didn’t. I honestly didn’t even know Sydney was my VO until I went through several agents when asking for that information. It was just in background check for a long time

I called IRCC asking where my VO was since I saw so many people on here knowing theirs. I thought it would be Vancouver but I was very wrong apparently

I don't know what to feel right now. My spouse's BOWP has been just approved. submitted on 23 March, 2021, and bam after less than a week, it is approved. Our PR application (AOR July 25) has passed all stages on 1 Mar and biometrics was refunded on 12 Mar. It seems to me that IRCC are deliberately holding the final approval and force more PR applicants to apply for new temporary permits so that they can collect more money from us.

That make sense. Maybe BOWP is the reason our PR applications are postponed. Officers are busy with R10 and BOWP. They invited 15000 CEC applicants in February and now processing their work permits to prolong workers official status in Canada.

I do not think that IRCC intentionally holds an application until one applies for BOWP. I had 4 months left on my WP. I applied for OWP under public policy last week and my application was approved in 4 days. But, I am still waiting for my PR.
AOR: July 12 and still waiting.

That’s not fair at all. I wonder if the level of expertise required to process applications is different between BOWP and PR. Why can’t the manpower processing BOWP be redirected to PR applications. It’ll save us money and save them from numerous calls and notes requests we make to them

I mean if the suggested timeframe were followed based on their recent update, the WP extension could take as long as 50 days to reach a decision. Since we are July applicants, we have already been in PR applications for more than 8 months. So you could get the pr result before the BOWP, then eligible for a refund? (I read it somewhere). But they prioritize BOWP now so you would not have a chance to get a refund as you have been approved.

They are stretching it (for more money and causing more pain) like what they are doing with the 2nd jab. ️
