Hi @legalfalcon , I received my CoPR letter on my personal email however i see that COB ( country of birth) is not correct. It seems to be a clerical error. It’s mentioned as Iceland instead of India. If you can give some information, Is it a cause of concern. And how can i get this corrected? And will it delay the PR card processing?

It is not a cause of concern, and if yous see on a scroll down menu, Iceland and India are next to each other, so it is a clerical error. But you should get it corrected.

Send a webform to IRCC and highlight the issue. A new corrected COPR will be issued.

There is a family emergency and I need to travel to India as soon as possible. So can I travel before getting the COPR document? Also, what would be my current status in Canada? I was on BOWP.

If you see a COPR number, then you should get the COPR in a few days. You can surely travel, there is no prohibition on travel.

However, if you receive the COPR when you are not in Canada, you will be a PR effective the date on the COPR and all other existing visas and permits will be cancelled. To travel back you will need a PR card or apply for a PRTD from the country you are in.

Congrats, I am getting some hope now. My AOR is also May 17. Can you please share your application assigned officer, this can be seen in the 2nd page of GCMS report, if you would have got one. My application is assigned to DM10032
