Misspelled my own family name

Type of Application: Family class
Applicant: Spouse living outside of Canada
Sponsor: Me, Canadian Citizen

So straight to the point, embarrassingly I misspelled my own family name on form imm1344e, under Sponsor(me) personal details. We've already paid, signed and submitted the application via mail as instructed with our signatures and receipts. This required my husband to sign them from where he lives in the states and mail it to me so I that I could sign them along with all the other supporting paperwork proving our marriage and the 2 specifically sized photos that they want of him. He was instructed to get his medical exam, he got it, they received it. Now I received an email saying that my information didn't match what they have on file and requested this exactly (I quoted the email):

"We verified the information you provided; however, it differs from the one we have on file.

In order to better assist you, we invite you to resubmit your request by filling out the IRCC Web form and include the following information:

  • Surname and complete given name (including middle name, if applicable) - exactly as they appear on the passport or identity document,
  • Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD),
  • Client ID Number, UCI or Application Number,
  • Country of birth,
  • Type of application,
  • Current address,
  • Telephone number(s),
  • Email address, and
  • All documents submitted with your previous request."
Now upon quadruple checking all the forms I sent them, I realized the only mistake was the misspelling of my own family name. Can I simply give them all the information they're asking for above, explaining and correcting the mistake in the message box on the IRCC form without resubmitting every form since they have all of it already in paper? Or do I actually have to submit each and every document including the huge amount of photos, personal messages, marriage certificate etc that I already sent them prints of? Or are they only asking for the application forms? Does this mean we would have to sign these by hand and upload them this way?

Thank you in advance if you took the time to read this and answer my questions. As you can probably tell, I'm incredibly confused and stressed from such a silly mistake.

I am sure you aren't the first person to do that. You only need to provide the information they have requested. Write a letter with all the items they have requested and submit it by web form. That's all, nothing more to do. They are not asking you to resubmit your whole application.
