Married but applying for citizenship as a single application

Hello all,

I am about to send in my citizenship application in a couple of weeks’ time. I was preparing my online application in anticipation. I had a quick question about marital status and application type.
I am married, but applying for citizenship just for myself. This is because my wife is already a Canadian citizen. Do I need to write some sort of explanation as to why I am applying just for myself or does it not matter?
