i just have to go to turkyey so since i dont need a visa with that passport,and also my travel document will be expire soon, so i just dont want to pay twice for the travel document again.Hi, i am a february 2020 applicant, i haven’t received an AOR, this is my progress on the application tool:

Guys, it is not easy, can you please stop advising people getting back their passports? What are you going to do? It is taken for a reason. Your refugee status can be removed unless you become a citizen. Read this article from CCR. It clearly mentions going back to the country you fled from or using its passport put you risk of losing your refugee status. You want your passport to get service in your country's embassy? It is possible for them to arrest you there, you are not safe in embassies. There could be an arrest issue recorded on your passport which means you may get arrested and send back to your country. Please, it is not safe and it risks both your life and your status. There is a reason for them to seize it, and it is done everywhere in the world. EU? They issue travel documents like Canada, indeed most UNHCR member countries issue a similar document. Please stop misinforming people.

In the "get passport back" thread, he says he withdrew his refugee claim as he became a PR, but that's not how it works. Becoming a PR doesn't mean you are not a refugee anymore. In fact, losing/giving up your refugee status will cause you to lose your PR too. I read @Akhenatonbta 's comments as well but it is untrue. If you withdrew your refugee claim you lose your PR and you will have have no status in Canada and face deportation.
Please read "get passport back" carefully because you're wrong
Listen. You have the right to get it back, actually they give you back when you become a PR. They aren't not doing this due to covid. If you use it or not is other story and actually you can use your passport depending of your story back home
And please don't misinform people, no everybody are under risk at Embassies or getting services from their countries because everybody has a different story so that is not right.
So don't do an average of people who claim refugee!
It is possible for them to arrest you. It happens and it is a fact. Of course, not everyone has an arrest issue in their home country. However, Diplomatic bags doesn't have a specified size or shape. Which means even humans can be transferred as a cargo.
Can you please confirm this with an official resource please? You can request it, there is nothing wrong with that if you have proper reasons. However, no it has never been given out to people after getting their PRs.
What do you expect me to do? It is in the name a "refugee". People escape from their countries for various reasons, and yes one may have an arrest issue or may not. Also, what I do is right, do you know about @hamashi's situation? In the "get passport back" thread, it isn't a "average of people who claim refugee", he already withdrew his refugee claim, which is by itself problematic. Anyway, what I did was informing people possible consequences of getting your passport back rather than just advising people "it is easy just get it". No this is dangerous, and including mine, no one on this platform should take one's situation/advice seriously and consult an immigration/refugee lawyer.

After searching around the web, I think you might be right about getting your passport after PR, I couldn't find any reliable official source confirming it, but in practice it seems they indeed return your passport. However, consequences for its usages still there.
