Hi @legalfalcon

I have a quick question. I'm a CEC Inland applicant with AOR Mar 03, 2020. It's over a year, still criminality is in process, security not started.

I have an emergency, need to travel to India - my home country. Currently I'm employed and going to continue to work from there remotely.

My PGWP is valid till Dec 31, 2021. I plan to stay in India for a couple of months & return back

I know that I can re-enter Canada with the PGWP as I have a job, but what will be the scenario if I get the CoPR when I'm in India.

My medicals have already expired with no news of extension.

Please suggest.

Thanks a lot!

@legalfalcon Hi LegalFalcon, If in the GCMS notes, there is a "Restricted Notes: Yes". What does it mean?
This means that these will not be released and will be redacted under one of the provisions of the Access to Information Act or Privacy Act.

@legalfalcon Which page of GCMS notes are important to check?

The three simple steps to read your GCMS notes:

1. Verify that they are your notes by checking your application number, your name and date of birth on page 1.

2. See page 2 for the assessments. This is the overview of your application stages. To read on stages, see https://bit.ly/35xhKw6

3. Then flip to the last 3-5 pages, this is where the notes entered by the immigration officers are and will provide you with the details.

Once done, you will have a clear grip of your application and then you can read in details about the assessments and calculations and the incoming and outgoing documents which will be in the middle of your notes.

@legalfalcon what does “Not inadmissible under IRPA” means under Admissibility section of GCMS notes?

There are different kinds of admissibilities:

Criminality
Medicals
Security
Human Rights
Financial
Misrepresentation

Simply put each applicant has to be admissible to Canada on the above. Usually officers and in legal language instead of using positives, negatives are used.

So instead of saying that you are admissible under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) it is often written as you are not inadmissible under IRPA, which is the same as saying that you are admissible.

See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/inadmissibility/reasons.html

Thank you for your always informative advices and help. Do you have any information about the status of FSW-Inland applications? They clearly mentioned that they are functioning on full capacity to finalize CEC application. Is there any hope they will start processing FSW-Inland soon?

Beyond what's official stated by IRCC any other statement is all speculative and can't be relied on.

All stages passed except security
Security: not started

How long it take to START or PASS the security? @legalfalcon. Please advise
There are many applications that are in the same stage as yours, where eligibility is passed, and security has not been initiated. Security only starts after it is initiated by IRCC. A security screening request is a message transmitted to National Security Screening Division (NSSD) and screening partners.

If you are an inland applicant, then you may only be subject to a record check, which is a fairly quick process as compared to comprehensive screening, which takes longer. To read on how security screening is done, when it is initiated and record check via comprehensive screening, see https://bit.ly/3b4cTUr

There are applicants who have been receiving PPR and COPRs. Its I random and scattered. Unfortunately, you will just have to wait.
