Hi I have a valid status and applied on January 27th but still didn’t receive any updates...

Any update on people who applied for pgwp under new policy on January 27th 2021 and didn't received any notifications yet? I've applied on 27th and till date no response from CIC. I'm seeing alot of people in this forum, who applied around February 1st week getting approvals. I don't know what's going on with the applications who applied on January 27th !!

No you are not eligible

Maybe this might change, we dont know. There is a lot of time.

Yes mine was 1 year PGWP. Extended for 18months

work permit expired in december 2020
applied for visitor record before it expired

submitted new work permit on 1st of Feb 2021

received work permit approval on 21stof Feb 2021

You are eligibile to apply when you have less than 4 months on pgwp, you need a letter stating that you are applying this work permit under new public policy, including that your work was affected by pandemic is optional

thanks for your reply! My PGWP expires on Aug 20/21 so I should be able to apply on April 21.
I got affected by the pandemic but nothing major, any ideia if they can refuse it for that reason ?
Or there is no refusal if you meet those requirements?
