The Visa Application Centre in Los Angeles will re-open for business on Monday, 22nd March 2021 and will provide the following limited services until further notice.

• Biometrics collection for Biometric Instruction Letter holders only. An appointment will be required
• Return of decision envelopes to applicants. Your decision envelope will be returned to you via the courier service offered by the VAC. Collection of decision envelopes in-person at the VAC is not permitted until further notice. Please refer to the “Service and Service Charge Schedule” page of this website for further information on courier services offered by the VAC.
• Submission of passport upon receipt of passport request letter from IRCC (via post/courier only). Submission of passport in person at the VAC is not permitted until further notice.

The Opening Hours of the VAC will be as follows, until further notice:

Business Hours: Monday – Friday: 09:00 hrs – 15:00 hrs

Due to COVID-19 outbreak, the VAC may be implementing additional measures to ensure health and safety of applicants.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak, all passports will only be returned using the courier services offered by the Canada Visa Application Centre. The CVAC is offering courier services at a discount of 10% on the courier prices listed in the pricing table on this website. This discounted rate will only be available from 23 March 2020 until further notice.

Ohk nice....but what the hell with Mississauga ...so many ppl r living their life with depression and frustration because of no movement..they were not like this before..it was known as fastest processing center at one point of time

Covid-19 changed a lot but the government should have new processes in place by now...its been 1 year since Covid started. Our file was denied, then we appeal and won in January 2021. looks like we will need to wait another year before PPR is granted.

Nobody is getting this point why they are not working on backlogs and granting aor to new files..what's in their minds nobody knows...I have no idea when I'll see my husband

I wasn't asked. I simply attached screenshots of my spousal sponsorship application confirming biometric given/completed by PA earlier.

I have received the notes. It looks like an agent reviewed my background check and security was started on 1/4/21. They reviewed the criminal check (again). Also had a "March 31st due date" listed, which may not mean anything. No other updates.

Lately I havent seen much outland applications being transferred to CPC-M. I just hope they clear the backlog now.
