Can any one clarify me i have gone through the canada official website its written there that an immediate family member of a international student can travel without the authorization letter . my wife got her study visa and i am having a visitor visa !!

You can only travel without permission if travelling with her when she comes to Canada. You should really have an OWP unless you plan on remaining in Canada temporarily.

No i just want to go to get her settled in canada in her intial days as she having a medical condition to support her mentaly i want to travel with her

Hey Mann002, Did your authorization letter approve in second time? When did you apply visit visa as I'm trying to decide when should I apply TRV for my hubby. Thanks

You will need to stay over 15 days. Canada doesn't really want people travelling for short visits due to covid. Assume she declared this medical condition if it is serious enough to need another adult to support her.

Hi, how does one show proof of staying more than 15 days? If parents are coming over with TRV, they would book a one- way ticket and arrive in Canada.

A return ticket. If a parent is coming on a TRV they are only entitled to a 6 month visit.

Cancel or rebook or just not use the return ticket and buy another one. Depends what the ticket allows in terms of change / cancelation policies.
