Soon I am traveling to Canada and I am wondering whether my mother can travel with me because I am a minor. If the answer is yes, what does she need, should she apply for written authorization or can she just tell the border officer agents? She also has a valid TRV. If you are going to university you probably aren’t a minor. Go to Canada first and then have your parent apply. Travel authorization is difficult for temporary residents as you need to show essential travel.

If you applied as a minor to study in Canada you're required to have a guardian in Canada. The guardian is typically a Canadian citizen. Currently she needs to apply for travel authorization but her travel isn't guaranteed. How old are you and does your mother want to help you settle in Canada or does she want to try and remain with you while you study?
Also believe this is incorrect and she needs permission. How old are you and what type of schooling are you pursuing?
