Same here. Passed medical on 8 march (non SDS). No update till then. Super anxious.

when did you apply? did eligibility start?

This website is so slow nowadays, looks like everyone has got their visas and left.
Applied 13 january, eleigibility start 24 february, medical request 2 march, passed 8 march. No updates till then. I heard that this is a positive chance but still unknown. What about yours?

Applied: 6th March 2021
Medical Passed: 9th March 2021
Eligibility started: 9th March 2021

so passing the medical is a positive sign?

SDS or Non SDS

I will say this for the last time; no one can answer that.

This is true. If you did upfront medical then they have only acknowledged that in your GCKey account. Same like your biometrics, having it updated does not necessarily mean they have reached a decision.

For my last application, they never updated my medical and sent BVL then refusal. Even in the GCMS notes, there are no updates about medical. It had been a well-known observation that BVL before the medical update is a rejection, and medical before BVL is most likely approval. Those guys are gone and this website is very slow now.

Not sure if that is the trend. But what I know and read is for candidates who have not done their medicals upfront and were asked to do it has more positive outcome under NON-SDS. I understand your anxiety and I am in the same boat. But really there is nothing much we can do apart from waiting.

why the VO would go through the trouble of updating medical if he is going to refuse a study permit? just trying to understand

I am confused about your timeline. You applied 6th March and passed medical on 9 march? Did you upfront medical? I am talking about "positive sign" who got medical request after application not who did upfront the medical. However, best of luck. Hope for the best.

upfront medical and biometric, so the good sign doesn't apply on upfront medical?
