@demme343 @GMP97 do we have to collect passport from the vfs global or they deliver at home? I read from their website that due to covid only delivery option is available, I am not comfortable with delivery option since there are risks of the package being lost.

Both. When you go to submit your passport you can fill out an additional form and pay extra fees (i think) to have the passport delivered directly to your home address but that was before covid so right now they probably only have the delivery option available.
And no there aren't really that big of a risk like the passport does ship from Islamabad to karachi anyways so it will most probably be fine shipping directly to your house

That makes sense though but i dont think there is much of a risk in having it shipped yo to you directly

Hey guys, I am planning to apply for May intake for my bachelors under SDS category. Paid one year tuition fee + GIC. Done with ielts overall 7 bands. I have been reading the past conversation and I feel non sds is faster these days. Is it really the case even now ? Or I should still go for SDS category considering I have fulfilled all the requirements.

Hey guys, a little unique situation here. I got into the University of Manitoba for the Fall 2020 term but did not apply for a study permit because I knew that processing applications was taking forever. Besides, institutes shifted to remote learning and I thought I'd apply later. Now, almost a year later, I am applying through the SDS method (I have paid fee for my first year of study; have an upfront medical exam and will be getting a GIC very soon hopefully). I was wondering if I'd have to pay tuition fee for the next year of my study (as in the Fall 2021 and Winter 2022 semesters) or if the first year fee (that I've already paid) would suffice. If anyone here has a similar situation, or knows someone who does, and knows what the answer to this is, please help

Dear Usman.

Only year-one fee is sufficient to be eligible for the SDS program. You should attach the receipt of this payment along with other necessary documents when you'll apply for your study permit. Regards.

If by study plan you mean SOP then yes

And its not even close to an optional document whether you get visa or not depends upon it so I'd suggest put a alot of effort in writing a good SOP

I wonder why only Abu Dhabi visa office ( where Pakistanis applications get processed ) needs that.. Its not a requirement for Vietnam , India or Turkey visa office

Even though its not written as a requirement for those countries you cannot expect to get a visa without writing an SOP
