I think if it has to be summitted with courier it makes sense to submit it directly to Moscow. It may gain some time.

Don't know about that. Just be careful to submit exactly everything VFS requires, any minor omissions or other issues will definitely cause delays.

We are at sponsorship approved, Medical passed, biometrics submitted and pre-arrival services letter in early February 2021. Nothing since. Unsure of how much longer the wait will be.

Last fall a number received ppr approximately a month after per-arrival services. So doesn't sound out of ordinary.

Well of course they were all submitted before yours. Feel free if you want to get more into the weeds, go through the tracker spreadsheets and see.

But overall, pre-arrival services comes relatively close to decision made and the final decision/passport request. In covid more variance/randomness.

How long in average does it take them to issue a visa in the passport these days?
Do they send the passport back to VAC center or VAC center provide them details how to send the passport back?

About two weeks, plus or minus of course. Everything goes to/from VFS, VFS sends back by courier. This is in Moscow, dont' know about other cities, presumably a bit slower

When you track your application status on VFS website by reference number and tracking number, do you see when the visa actually issued or you only see the update only when you passport arrives back from the embassy to VFS?

I think we did see something in between, but don't remember exactly.
