152000 odd was the number of profiles in the pool when the draw happened on Feb 13th . 27000 odd profiles got an ITA..

Now as of March 1st the pool shows 147000 odd people.. what the hell is going on?

Have all the people inside canada who qualify under CEC without ECA, have these guys just woke up from sleep, written IELTS and flocked into the pool???

It's impossible to have 22000 odd FSW profiles come inside the pool in 3 weeks!!

Looks like there are a huge number of new CEC candidates entering the pool

Many CEC candidates who didn't have desired IELTS scores earlier may not have created profiles. After seeing CRS as low as 75 everyone would have created a profile. It is a good time to be CEC and people would want to make sure to have the profile ready.

Make sense, looks like the score cut off for today/tomorrow's CEC draw won't be high.

According to this Moving2Canada video, the bulk of these 22,000 profiles are in the minus 400 range and the number of profiles in all the higher brackets remains a lot lower than before the big February draw

So it seems these are mostly CEC candidates now entering the pool who didn't previously as they didn't stand a chance in hell.

And when (if??) "normality" returns then FSW draw CRS cut off should drop accordingly..

It is just the domino effect of the 176th draw. Everyone including students must be applying due to the preference given to in-Canada applicants. Plus the the multiple interviews given by the minister only encourages it.

It is not easy to get 1year skilled experience in Canada unless one is in IT.

It is interesting to know the average waiting time the candidates of that 176th draw spent in the pool.

Revamped EE system might be due anytime. Extra points for Canadian education, less emphasis on skilled work/no work: a pandemic compromise to meet the #'s. They got to meet the #'s, that's for sure.
What? Again they gonna give advantage for canadian education? Then what are we (FSW) doing here? Spending months and years to achieve the required CRS points and this is what we get in return? If this happens, with all due respect I would say it is non-ethical from their side.

I'm saying this because they are already getting weightage by getting additional points and experience. Also IRCC is preferring CEC candidates. On top of that, if they gonna give additional points on top of the current one, this is purely injustice to the FSW applicants.

Btwn, what is your source for this?

I'm hoping for that. Otherwise, I feel like it will be an injustice to FSW candidates. IRCC should balance the intake of both.
It feels like there will be another massive CEC draw happening today or tomorrow. Just like the one on Feb 13, happened two days after a PNP draw.
They had a PNP draw on March 8 and nothing happened yesterday, so I guess another big CEC movement is expected
