Thankyou all for being active in this form and providing very relevant information to everybody stuck together. I have a query
@legalfalcon . thanks for your help in advance.
I applied under CEC inland and my spouse is outland and secondary applicant on my file. Both our medical expired as of March beginning. My wife is presently in city where she can have her re-medical done. Then she will move and she will have to drive 8 hours if and when we get re-medical request. I was thinking to get her medical done in advance if and one IRCC ask for one.
1. Is it possible to do one without a re-medical request? If yes then what should we say " just need an upfront medical for PR. The one for Non-EDE, worker"
2. What's the chances for re-medical according to present processing scenario? (my profile changed to we don't need a medical from passed)
My AOR is March 22, 2020. Everything was done but my Wife's Biometrics got delayed until Feb 25, 2021 as she is in India. So my file shows Criminality in process and Background yet to start. I applied for Wife's visitor visa but they put processing on hold saying travel is optional and 0 movement in the file after submission but they are not rejecting it as if now. Most likely they will.
1. Do you think I should apply for wife's BOWP and that have better chance of approval sooner compared to time my PR file may take.
2. Should I take back my visitor visa application as it will take more time than expected?
3. If and when I apply for BOWP for her, Do I need to mention I applied for Visitor visa but retracted my application (if I do) for so and so reason.
4. My own Open work permit is expiring on 28th June, 2021. If needed I will have to file an extension in early June. Can I apply for Wife's SOWP in the same file as my BOWP application.
5. If I can apply together or cant, Is it better to go for BOWP right now and try for SOWP to bring her in asap or wait for PR application status and go for it in June.
