Very urgent - Travel to India

Hi,

I have got Canada passport yesterday , I still didn’t surrender my indian passport .due to some reasons I have to go India . Can I travel without surrendering or there is a 90 days period to submit ?? What if I go India which passport should I show at indian immigration?? Or Is it legal to travel

Its legal. You can travel. Surrendering passport is voluntary still and it will be always as they cant force people since its complex to deal with.
At the max you might end up few $ fine for using the passport one time(you can refer the fine amount from bls site). Thats all it is.

I think the 90 days grace period only applies where the person has not received their new nationality passport. But yes I believe only consequence will be fine.

Indian Govt should allow dual citizenship like Pakistan does to reduce problems of Indian origin people worldwide. Even OCI status is not recognised in many countries.

if you use Indian passport then there is fine if not there is no fine while you surrender passport. its depends on how urgent you want to go.
