Let us share our visa timelines here.

I have applied for visa on 18th Feb.
Biometric done on 22nd Feb.
MBA in UCW sep intake.

I have applied for visa in Oct 2020 and was refused on Nov 2020. It was for MBA, Jan-21 intake, UCW.
I have re-applied on 20th Dec 2020 for Apr-21 intake, UCW and waiting for a decision.

Applied Dec-20 for July-21 intake. BIO completed 30th Dec. No update after that.

I am 39 years old, Indian, Civil Engineer with 15 years of project controls experience, living in Kuwait. In my first application, I have applied with my 2 children.

Reason for refusal
Visa officer not convinced that I will leave Canada based on 1) immigration status 2) ties in Canada and country of residence 3) purpose of visit.

Timeline of first Application
Applied on 16th October 2020
Bio on 18th Oct 2020
Eligibility review 11th November 2020
BVL 27th November 2020
Refusal on 28th November 2020
It was from Abu Dhabi visa office.

Second application (applied alone)
Applied on 20th Dec 2020 for April intake
Bio already there
Eligibility review on 16th Jan 2021
Received submission confirmation on 4th Feb 2021 (very late)
Nothing after that.

Danny thanks for replying! I am 32 years old and have 10 years experience. My situation is very similar to yours, is it possible for you to share your sop, you can take out all the personal info, I just need the doc for reference as i am writing mine. Any help will be highly appreciated

Are you applying from India? Or any other country? Sorry, I doubt my SOP will be of any help for you. It’s a very personalized one. I don’t think it’s a strong one too. I can give you the “why I chose UCW?” part of it and may be “why Canada why not home country?” too.
