I have been observing this thread for a long time now. I did my graduation from SMU and applied for ECA in August 2020. recently I checked my status which shows Assessment in progress as of January 29, 2021. Could anyone tell me what would be the expected time to get the final report at this stage?

Hey Mate,

I have pursued MBA from SMU DE and just sent my documents to ICAS for the ECA. Could you please suggest whether my qualification would be considered equivalent to a Masters degree?

Also, I'm new to this, do you suggest me any other formalities to focus on, by the time my ECA is done(AFAIK 7-8 months from now)

MBA: SMU Distance Education
PGDP: 1Year - Evening Course
Diploma in Taxation and Practise: 1Year Fulltime

I have filed to get only BCom and MBA(SMU Distance Edu) Degrees from ICAS.

Would adding PGDP and DTP degrees could have resulted in more CRS score? Any expert advice, please?

I don’t know why it is showing me invalid file number or birth date as error when I am trying to check my status

Hi Anshul,
What was your ECA for SMU-DE? was it same as fulltime degree?

Yes it it for MBA from SMU-DE and ECA report is comparable to Masters in CANADA.
