Hi Guys i recieved a pre arrival letter email. What does that mean?

thanks to everyone for updating and chatting here. it has been a source of hope sometimes for us.

We just got a pre-arrival letter today, too, and ECAS updated to a decision made for the principal applicant.
There has been no letter informing officially of a decision made, so, even though these changes I have noted don't yet mean anything, and maybe we have a (bad) surprise coming... I do take it as a sign that stuff is moving in Mexico VO and wanted to share that for hope.

I just want to shout out to BOSOXNATION, who with his wife and child have been holding the line of Mexico fudgery and PR-unknowing like a boss.
There are a couple more of you from 2018. I am so sorry... it has been awful for you...
I wish to anyone, everywhere to have the shortest wait possible for their immigration papers>

useful info:
we applied in November 2019 (application sent)
with first AOR Dec 22, 2019...
Sponsor accepted in February... Biometrics in February.
then radio silence until September when we got AOR2 (that it moved to Mexico).
The medical request was in Nov2020... and completed Dec2020.

PA from Peru.... and of course... we are being processed in the Beloved Mexico.

Not sure where to post this, but was looking at the spousal/common law tracker and curious why so many people from 2021 are getting AOR so fast (it seems to be mostly those applying from India but there is a high percentage in the spreadsheet). Why are some fast and others have to wait when all applications go to same Sydney NS office?

pre arrival is not a bad news ... means Eligiblity is passed and that they gonna have to finish the security part or criminality and then PPR (usually happen a month after pre arrival)

You will never get a concrete answer because no one knows why some has privilege toward others.

My best hypothesis is that they have a special channel between india and Canada that has been created cause more than 40% of Sponsorship comes from there. So for now it's faster but who knows what is happening behind those doors

Nothing to understand on the way they manage files... but

final Eligiblity is usually related to BGC

this part must be completed for eligibility to be granted

Question is the when it says Biometrics passed does that mean BGC was done. ?

Hey i took emeraldeyes advice. Send an update with your tickets and boarding pass also with pics of your recent visit to Guyana. I recieved pre arrival letter after sending webform. Goodluck

I send them updated photos and documents about three weeks ago haven't gotten any thing as yet just an email saying the file will be updated and it was received, so fingers cross. Hope we all get good news soon.
