Seems most tend to stay in their trucks.....they're not out and about on holiday.
COVID-19: Truckers hauling to the U.S. rarely leave their vehicles, remain exempt from testing
Having a truck with a toilet is a luxury truck, most just have a bunk, mini fridge and microwave. So I'm assuming the trucker will need to step out of his truck to take a poop. Also article says truckers take showers, are these showers in quarantine facilities?
I think its all just media hype...

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Im looking forward to the hotel experience. Room service, high speed internet and being on Canadian turf
High speed internet might disappoint you. A youtuber reviewed a hotel near YVR airport recently that the hotel's internet speed was below her expectation despite the expensive rates.

Maybe I can ask for the hotel which is 3000 for three nights and not 2000 and get faster internet.

Not dumb rules just very poor implementation especially given how long it to took to put in place. Not the government's fault if the hotel's aren't providing food or security in the halls as required in their contracts. I would hope that the contracts spelled out exactly how much food needed to be provided, how much security per floor, etc. The hotel should have never allowed people to leave their rooms and there was a large group who had made it to the lobby:rolleyes: The government essentially had to copy one of the other countries who have had a similar system in place for a long time. It is embarrassing how badly the governments tackle the simplest of tasks. High school students could have done a better job. It is the government's fault for paying for a phone line, not having a paid covid test in place, not having enough hotel rooms ready, not having a better system in the airports, etc. Other countries are able to run almost exact programs. It isn't rocket science.

The program doesn't need to go away someone needs to use some common sense and the hotels have to use the fees to provide food, pay for security on each floor, etc.
