When did IRCC started online citizenship application process? Someone applied online on Dec 4th 2020, got AOR on Feb 3rd 2021 and test invite on Feb 24th 2021. And, as per the applicant its not even urgent processing, it's just normal processing.
There is FB Group for citizenship where he posted about his online application https://www.facebook.com/groups/733310373864593/
You can check the Feb 24th post by Paras Sachapara. He even posted a screenshot of his test invite in the comments section as a proof of invite.

This is very unfair for us all, its been more than 16 to 17 months for our processing and still no test invites.

Just found out that there are more people who have got the test invites this week and they have applied for citizenship online in DEC 2020.

Yes unfortunately it seems december 2020. online non urgent applications are already getting test invites as per the spreadsheet. Beyond frustrating and unfair. It’s as it the government had JUST discovered the internet.

Also goes to show how quickly the process is ACTUALLY suppose to be. If it’s that much easier for them they should have given us the option to reapply online to speed things along for us

Hmm... this is the first time I am hearing about online citizenship applications. I wasn't aware that this is an option. It seems that this is not widely publicized.

Hmm... this is the first time I am hearing about online citizenship applications. I wasn't aware that this is an option. It seems that this is not widely publicized.

Application Sent - October 3rd, 2019
Application Received - October 6th, 2019
Acknowledgement - Dec 24th, 2019
In Process - Jan 27th, 2020
Test Invite - Feb 24th, 2021
Test Passed (19/20) - Feb 27th, 2021

Hi I applied on Oct 15 2019, not test invite yet. What is the date of your test? I mean, how much time they give you to prepare...

I applied on Oct 3rd, 2019. Test Invite was sent on Feb 24th, 2021. They give 21 days time from the start date i.e. Feb 26th to attend test.
I passed the test today.
