They just torture us. Stupidest decision in my life was immigration to Canada.

Not for me fortunately. I don't even want to get started on US immigration. That way IRCC is 1000000000000000000000 times better.

The rather useless status bar is back guys. My suggestion, dont look at it. It may give you heart aches! My end dates moved from July3rd to Aug 3rd to Now Oct 3rd 2021. Current timeline for folks who have not applied for Paper PR - 18 months. Those who already applied - 22 months. WHAT SORT OF LOGIC IS THIS IRCC?

My status changed from Nov2021 to Jan2022.

Probably we are facing this huge delays because someone with attitude like yours is “working hard” or better to say “hardly working” on our applications.

I’m not asking anything for free. All we are asking is that our rights are not to be broken. Yes, exactly our RIGHTS. We have done everything from our side. We have met all the criteria regardless any situations or problems that we faced. Most of us are skilled and essential workers. We pay tax. We paid “right of permanent residence fee”. If any of us don’t do our job right or in time - we get punished. Think about Uber drivers getting bad reviews because of being late. Do you like your pizza delivered hot or cold? Do you want to wait 22 months to see a doctor? As a truck driver if I’m late for loading/unloading appointments even for 15 min I get punished really hard by everyone my company management, humiliated by dispatch, shipper/ receiver is screaming at me. And I was late only because road conditions or weather. But nobody cares, they say “do better planning “.

Imagine your house on fire or robbers broke in and firefighters or police isn’t showing up ASAP . Would you be mad or cocky? Why? Just relax and wait because you need them more than they need you.

Easier said than done unfortunately. My wife lost 3 job opportunities as they wanted only PRs. Countless others hung up when they heard Work Permit. Only calls she gets nowadays are from shady consulatants with illegal practices which we will never encourage or go near. So, she is now a well educated housewife. We had lot of plans but nothing working due to PR. Imagine the competition in the market once the ocean of COPRs waiting Outland start booking tickets to Canada after the restrictions. I took risk and made a move DURING the pandemic to avoid this madrush. But unfortunately still stuck and nothing moved.

I want to start my second source of income but cannot do that now. Need PR to do another work. Illegal to do anything on WP. With age goes the motivation. Cannot even go learn any course. Cannot even buy property due to the extra tax rule if the buyer is not PR. (I know it comes back after PR, but still a lot of money upfront). I am not even talking about the missed benefits.

If you look at the paragraph above, maybe they are loosing more than I do in taxes.

Hi everyone,

The bar is back and the estimated completion date moved 2 months so, 22 months now since I started the process.

For some reason, people who applied in Q1 2020 got stuck in the process. I am an AOR-Feb 2020 (Inland App) applicant and I just was asked for criminal checks back in July/2020 but since then I have not heard anything from IRCC. Waiting for MR...

@Canada_traderman : on negotiation table, who have power will dominate others. Do you have that power now ? If yes then you won't be upset, right?
You want to go back? Ok fine because thousand people from your country are willing to come here. 1 vs. 1000, who cares? That's why i said you have no choice but they do!

It's easier said than done. Yes, that's definitely true. However, yelling here will help the process faster?? Of course NO
Then find workaround solution to survive first. PR will come after that.

Anyway, that's my thought. Debating are welcome.
