Help Needed! Got PPR but medicals will expire before travel!

Hey,

I had my medicals passed in Dec 2020 and got my PPR on Jan 1, 2021. I have also gotten my passport stamped by Feb 2021.
My question is, my medicals expired on Feb 15, 2021. I will only be traveling by August 2021, as I am going for the Fall 2021 intake. Will I need to re-do my medicals? Will I be eligible to enter Canada with an expired medical even though I have my passport stamped?

I have never heard of students being asked to present medical to the POE. Your medical was just for study permit application. I could be wrong.

I read somewhere that you need active medicals when you land. Not sure how they verify.

I am confident you do not need that. (I could be wrong) since medical is to check if you are inadmissible before being issued with a permit.

Once they ask you for POE, they will scan the bar code and see everything there, not sure what they usually see on their end, but they will use the POE details to issue you with the study permit.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have heard Permanent residents being asked to retake in case medicals are expired before landing in Canada.
For student it's fine I guess?
We will call up/email them just to be on the safer side of things

Permanent Resident, they do need medical. Students, they don't.
