Once you get one year Canadian work experience and this is reflected in your EE profile (+ valid language assessment results), you’ll be automatically considered under CEC.

It's clear the government remains dedicated to attaining the massive immigration targets it set itself. The numbers of new Covid infections has been steadily dropping since the beginning of January and they should start phase 2 of the vaccination program next week so yes, let's not at all lose hope!!
I-year Canadian experience has a pre-requisite of working in a B class occupation code. Just wonder are all these 27,300 candidates under CEC, mostly fresh graduates, have such ability to find a B class occupations which are quite limited in vacancy! Or else they use other means to satisfy immigration requirements!
For CEC you must have at least one year of work experience in a NOC A, B or 0 skill level role. This is a mandatory requirement. There is no way to satisfy it apart from having the required work experience.
Just wonder how many are really able to qualify and find the NOC A,B or O level! Perhaps, some resorted to unscrupulous and greedy employers assisting them in making bogus working experience in collaboration with some immigration consultants. Imm Can should scrutinize and verify to establish genuineness. All can possibly be done with hefty amount of money!

It's highly unlikely, but still possible. They essentially pulled 5 draws worth of candidates. The worst case scenario is no draws for 2-3 months and CEC draws after. But I'm fairly confident FSW draws will resume by the summer. Even with the botched covid vaccine drive in canada, they would have made some headway in 3-4 months.

Exactly. You can sit and blame your luck or say others are lucky all you want. is it unfair that people with a score of 75 are getting invited over those with 460+? Yes, absolutely. But what are you going to do about it? Back in 2019, I had a score of 456, and I maed a decision not to sit tight and wait. I learned french from scratch, and a year later, my score is 521. You reap what you sow.
If you need me to be blunt, you do not have a good shot at 459 (although it is still possible, but low chances that the score will drop so low). Do what you can to increase your score. Life is unfair. Find a way to make it work for you regardless.

If the FSW draw resumes 3-4 months later, the qualifying points may well be over 475 due to large accumulation of overseas candidates joining the pool. Unless Can Imm is generous again to offer some 20,000 invitations, the first draw will be very competitive! Qualifying 75 points as compared with 475 points is definitely unfair and prejudicial. If Canada really wants competent, capable, educated, and talented people from all over the world, it should really re-think about their strategy and methodology.

I do agree with you. The whole 'skilled' part of skilled immigration is a joke now. But I did read that the average score for the recent draw was around 415 and the 75 was an outlier. Still unfair to the 450+ people who've been in the pool for much longer. But it is what it is. I think the scores will stay in the mid to high 470s for a while, the longer they delay all program draws.
