Is the police record only good for a year? I might get my wife to get a new one and then just upload it on GCkey to avoid anymore delays

Biometrics are good for 10 years but you’re right the PCC and medicals expiring blows. Potentially they’ll extend the validity of the medical but no guarantees.
On the online tool (not gckey, that has not changed) the PR Application Status Column changed from "IN PROCESS" to "APPLICATION RECEIVED". Medical, biometrics are done and reviewed already, file has been moved to Ottawa as of a month ago. Does anyone know why that status would change?? We are so confused.
Ottawa has recieved your application for further processing. Once they start working on it, it will go back to “in process”.
So strange, it was sent to Ottawa over a month ago. Is that usually how long it takes to get the online tool to update?
Same with me. Recieved the letter in first week of Jan that file is recieved at Ottawa.
I never really thought much about my FBI check expiring... damn. My application updated to Application Received today (Ottawa), my FBI clearance was done back on January 2nd 2020... so 13.5 months ago. Really hope that at this stage they don’t ask for new ones. I’ve been in Canada with my husband since January 3rd 2020. Outland, but kinda got stuck here after the pandemic started. Is there a possibility I won’t have to do my police clearance over again? Ugh.
It looks like Ottawa is back in action. Someone in July got pre-arrival yesterday and DM today.
